Tuesday, January 2, 2012 was just another boring day with long lines of seniors and other bored, but well behaved citizens waiting for service at a Leesburg, FL Social Security office. That is until Department of Homeland Security “Federal Protection Service” Officers showed up. Armed with semi-automatic rifles, dressed in full tactical gear including bullet-proof vests, and wielding K-9 sniffer dogs on leashes, DHS officers began demanding identification from individuals in line.

According to the Lakeland County Daily Commercial, DHS officials refused to answer questions asked by local media and left with no explanation.

A Homeland official in Washington DC later indicated that the Leesburg incident was part of DHS’s “Operation Shield” which focuses on “detecting the presence of unauthorized persons and potentially disruptive or dangerous activities.”

It amazes me that after all these years of Leftists claiming that Conservative Presidents were jackbooted thugs, when the most tyrannical President in history – a Democrat – actually and literally unleashes jackbooted, semi-automatic rifle carrying thugs with K-9s on leashes against hapless senior citizens waiting in line at a Social Security office, the libs are silent.

Tyler Mathisen, Managing Editor of CNBC Business News is hardly a “tin foil hat” kind of guy. On a recent “Power Lunch” show, Mathisen reported that the Pentagon is actively conducting war game drills called “Operation United Quest.” The exercise, as described by CNBC Correspondent Eamon James, is intended to prepare the military for large scale economic collapse in the US that will force Army to “keep domestic order amid civil unrest.”

URGENT UPDATE – Congress overwhelmingly passed the National Defense Authorization Act – even cow towing to OBAMA’s demand that Congress GIVE UP its responsibility to defend liberty and give the Administration the sole ability to suspend Habeas Corpus and the Posse Comitatus Act.

I do not wear a tinfoil hat, nor am I a conspiracy kook. I am however a student of history.

Do you think the Cubans, or the Venezuelans or the Russians did not at one time think the same thing – “it won’t happen here?” Do you think we have some magical absolution from tyranny based upon our geographical location? ONLY the Constitution protects our freedom. Yet, Congress seems dead set on destroying our rights and our Constitution either through incompetence, ignorance or fear – none of which are justifiable excuses for extinguishing liberty.

Our Founding Fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence largely because the British suspended the colonist’ right of Habeas Corpus.

The Posse Comitatus Act was written to prevent a fascist government from turning the U.S. military against its own citizens.

Yet the 112th Congress has apparently forgotten our history and now fails to recognize that they are empowering and enabling the very tyranny our Founding Fathers fought to escape.

FAX CONGRESS NOW – remind them that the pitchforks and the torches don’t just come to Washington for Democrats. Tell them to immediately reinstate Habeas Corpus and the Posse Comitatus for American citizens.

He isn’t afraid to say what is on his mind, and he doesn’t mind pissing people off. Judging by his comments and media coverage, every time he opens his mouth his popularity goes up.

He brought down the house at his inauguration when he shook his fist toward the cameras in the media box and said,

“You’re on notice! I’ve inherited a financially troubled State to run. Observe… cover what we do… but don’t whine if I don’t waste time responding to your every whim just for your amusement.”

During his campaign for Governor, he was talking to commercial fishermen who are struggling because of federal fisheries rules. They complained that 0bama brought his family to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park for a long Labor Day holiday and found time to meet with union leaders, but would not talk to the fishermen.

LePage replied,

“I’d tell him to go to hell and get out of my State.”

The Lame Stream Media crucified LePage, but his popularity jumped 6 points in the pre-election polls.

The Martin Luther King incident was a political sandbag espoused by the “drive-by” media, which brought him National exposure. Again, the ‘lame stream’ media crucified him, but word on the street is very positive. The NAACP specifically asked LePage to spend MLK Day visiting black inmates at the Maine State Prison. He told them that he would meet with ALL prison inmates, regardless of race, if he were to visit the prison. The NAACP balked and then put out a news release falsely claiming that he refused to participate in any MLK events. He read it in the paper for the first time the next morning while being driven to an event and went ballistic because none of the reporters had called him for comment before running the NAACP release.

He arrived at that event and said in front of a TV camera,

“If they want to play the race card on me they can kiss my ass!”,

and he reminded them that he has an adopted black son from Jamaica and that he attended the local MLK Breakfast every year that he was mayor of Waterville.

(He started his morning there on MLK Day.)

He then stated that there’s a right way and a wrong way to meet with the Governor, and he put all special interests on notice that press releases, media leaks, and all demonstrations would prove to be the wrong way. He said any other group, which acted like the NAACP could expect to be at the bottom of the Governor’s priority list!

He then did the following, and judging from local radio talk show callers, his popularity increased even more: The State employees union complained because he waited until 3 P.M. before closing State offices and facilities and sending non-emergency personnel home during the last blizzard. The prior Governor would often close offices for the day with just a forecast before the first flakes. (Each time the State closes for snow, it costs the taxpayers about $1 million in wages for no work in return.)

LePage was CEO of the Marden’s chain of discount family bargain retail stores before election as governor. He noted that State employees getting off work early could still find lots of retail stores open to shop. So, he put the State employees on notice by announcing: “If Marden’s is open, Maine is open!”

He told State employees: “We live in Maine in the winter, for heaven’s sake, and should know how to drive in it. Otherwise, apply for a State job in Florida !”

What prompted Monroe’s statement, which was expressed in his annual address to Congress (what today would be considered the State of the Union Address) was a fear that Spain would try to take over its former colonies in South America, which had declared their independence.

It was believed that France, which had invaded Spain and restored its former king to the throne, was behind Spanish intentions to become involved again in South America.

The European powers took note of Monroe’s declaration, but what kept the Spanish (and presumably the French) from meddling in the western hemisphere was not so much Monroe’s statements as very real threats from the British. It seemed apparent that the Royal Navy would stop the Spanish involvement, as the British wanted to protect their interests in the Caribbean.

The Monroe Doctrine, although named for President James Monroe, was really the idea of John Quincy Adams, the future president who was serving as Monroe’s Secretary of State.

And while it wasn’t thought to be terribly important at the time, it was later invoked by other presidents. And the idea that European powers should not interfere in the western hemisphere became an important part of American foreign policy.

TALKING DOG FOR SALE

He rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard.

The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador retriever sitting there.

“You talk?” he asks.

“Yep,” the Lab replies.

After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk, he says “So, what’s your story?”

The Lab looks up and says, “Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I told the CIA. In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one figured a dog would be eavesdropping. I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running…

…But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn’t getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security, wandering near suspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of medals. I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I’m just retired.”

The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.

“Ten dollars,” the owner says.

“Ten dollars? This dog is amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?”

“Because he’s a fekkin’ liar. He’s never been out of the yard.”

I say “possible” in the case of Newt Gingrich on the condition that he can continue to stay in this fray with the money, and he doesn’t follow Cain and Perry’s modus operandi of Self Implosion. So far, he has done fairly well staying above the fray and recovering from whatever minor hiccups his campaign has had.

The Republican lineup seemed a bit boring at first until Perry came in and took the lead away from Willard: but it didn’t take long for his Texas Swagger to break off like a grass rake up the wrong orifice (if you know what I mean…)

Before Cain got himself embroiled in the Liberal Entrapment playbook stratagem of supposed “sexual harassment” he was doing fine. He probably would have continued to do well if he had let Old Dogs Lie and leave it alone. Poke a bear, and you’re going to get bit. If he keeps getting duped by the Rope-a-Dope from the Left, you’re probably going to wee Willard climbing back up in the polls. And… if he’s lucky enough to break through the 25% ceiling in national polls, he just might get his Entitlement Wish.

Herman Cain’s attack on Rick Perry is going to turn off a lot of people toward Perry–and Cain… if it hasn’t already. And, methinks it already has… that’s just my meandering thoughts. Cain’s campaign staff seems to think that if Cain goes down, he’s going to take out everybody not named Romney as well. Sort of like murder-suicide. It’s an ugly, sordid mess any way you look at it.

Let’s look at some implications and who could benefit from this horserace… or, at least, until the Fat Lady sings the last aria:

Michele Bachmann

Bachmann’s former campaign manager, Ed Rollins, says the congresswoman is out of money and out of ideas. I agree. She hasn’t changed her message or retooled herself. Her time is up. As much as I like her, she still needs a little schoolin’ in Politikin’ 101.

Herman Cain

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news on this one, but… Cain probably won’t recover from this: nor will he be the nominee. If you’re a Cain fan, don’t take this personal. It’s just the bitter pill of politics. His campaign staff has bungled this disaster so bad that I can hardly see him recovering from this. If he does, somehow, pull off a recovery, then he’ll be a much stronger nominee. But, I just don’t see it.

Given his campaign’s attack on Rick Perry and Mark Block (whether Perry and Block are guilty or not) the campaign has done nothing but let this wound fester. And if they don’t quit picking at this scab and let it “go away” the campaign is just going to get gangrene from it.

The women in this case were probably dredged up by the New York Times, and the MSM probably engineered the “leak” to make it look like it came from the Perry camp, but be that as it may, the women involved in this issue will probably speak one way or another… eventually.

When that happens, expect the proverbial crap to hit the fan, and watch all this nonsense move from blame to merit. Cain is already behind with women, so what does it matter? He’s not doing himself any favors by picking at this scab.

Newt Gingrich

Newt has already gone after Cain’s 9-9-9 plan, and done so pretty aggressively. They might do their Lincoln-Douglas debate in Texas, but I don’t think Odumbo will be man enough to show up. Everyone will take a second look at Newt — like they did before Donald Trump dropped out. Right now, Newt Gingrich probably stands the best chance of benefiting from the implosion from the Cain/Perry war.

Aside the fact that Newt is on his third wife, I don’t think it’s going to be as harmful to him as, say, a false charge of sexual harassment. Allegations of sexual harassment don’t have to be true in D.C. politics. They just have to be made. Hey, this is America, boys and girls! Get used to it!

The big question now is if Gingrich can maintain the financial momentum to survive until Nomination Day. Money may pose a problem… if he doesn’t have a sizeable war chest like Rick Perry — and Willard.

Ron Paul is a joke. You might as well quit playing his piece in this board game. He won’t be the nominee. His son would probably have a better chance than himself, and he might as well just go back to work and save what little money he has left. He’s been a “has-been” every time his name came up, and will continue to be. Sorta reminds me of Ralph Nader…

Rick Perry

Herman Cain decision to engage in a murder-suicide with the Perry campaign will probably bring both of them down. As a matter of fact, I think (again) it already has…. Cain really believes Curt Anderson is to blame, but that doesn’t mean Anderson really is to blame. And it doesn’t matter at this point.

Cain torpedoed a lot of good will blaming Perry… but it still hurts Perry. Don’t get me wrong: I like both of them, because a lot of what they say “resonates”. But I’ve come short of endorsing anyone in this race for a multitude of reasons. There will be some Cain supporters who, when Herman’s campaign implodes, will
not go to Perry. They’ll go Gingrich or Romney.

And it probably won’t matter which way they go because Romney still has that Mormon issue to overcome: you know… the same one Papa George had, and the one Joseph Smith had…

…it’s just the nature of the beast.

(Historical note: the same thing happened to JFK about the RC church and the Pope… but he survived it — only to be martyred by those who would not rest until he had a permanent place in history…)

Ah… but that’s another story for some other time. I was only 10 years old when that happened, so it doesn’t matter here…

…only if you want to see the repeat of history and chalk it up as a learning experience.

Is this nuclear fallout going to be fatal to Perry? Who knows… it could be. But, then again, he may have learned a hard lesson and swallowed some of his braggadocio and Texas Swagger for some Humble Crow Pie. He has a lot of money in his war chest, as do the Super PAC’s who are helping him. And, with that, he may be able to resuscitate himself and pull this off.

But — and this is a mighty big but — Perry only has a limited window of time to reassure voters of both his drive and, more importantly, his competence. He’ll need to pull off some good debate performances. So far, he hasn’t done too well in the Sleeping Episodes of the debates, and he’s come across as having been hampered by anti-depressants.

Going from losing a debate to needing a solid debate win is pure speculation and hyperbole, even if graded on the low end of a curve…

If it sounds like I’m being critical of “my boy” — well… yes, I am. But that’s just the way we call them down here in Texas. I like Governor Perry, whether I disagree with him on a lot of issues or not.

As to this being a Cain versus Perry race, consider that only Cain and Perry right now have enough money to compete with Romney. Newt may be able to… in the present or near future. Newt is a “wild card” — so, time will only tell.

The “cash on hand” goes to Cain and Perry: but with Cain going after Perry with this scandal chasing Cain, it hurts them both. If the Perry campaign staff can get
their collective asses (and their heads) around what’s happening — and do it quickly — they just might be able to “right the ship” and gain some momentum headed into the holidays. But, they’re going to have to start spending some big money, and do it fast.

Mitt Romney

Willard is playing this one safe (and smart). Contrast Herman Cain and Rick Perry’s handling of this bouleversement with Mitt’s handling of it: Stone Cold Silence.

There’s no reason for Willard to do anything when Herman Cain is busy shooting himself in the foot — and taking out Rick Perry in the process.

Seventy-five percent of the Conservative branch of the RNC wants someone other than Romney and at this rate Romney may very well end up the nominee anyway. I know that prospect might be pleasing to the Twenty-Five Percenters, but it will make him a weaker candidate in the general election against one of
the most corrupt regimes we’ve ever seen in the history of our country. Combine Willie’s historical flip-flops with all the other heat that this party has generated and it sort of defeats the idea that this is the Republicans’ race to lose.

Republicans need to get out of this defensive mode of thinking and go on the attack, and attack Odumbo… not each other. Football games aren’t won on defense: only when you’re carrying the ball in the offensive mode do you make touchdowns. And right now, I don’t see any football players on the Republican team…

…except, maybe — [fill in the blank].

Cain and Perry are probably (pretty much) history as far as this race is concerned. Cain staying in the race isn’t going to appear very intelligent at this point, not with the bleeding from a sexual harassment scandal. Unless he can come out swinging like Clarence Thomas and kick some political ass, Cain is going to find it difficult to consolidate his base and come from behind as a strong anti-Romney candidate.

The odds of Romney being the nominee grow daily. If, however, this Cain business resolves itself quickly (which I highly doubt), Romney might see the race consolidate against him. And then there’s Perry and Newt, so… it’s still a toss-up.

Rick Santorum

Who?

I have heard Muslim Imams of the Islamic Propagation Centre International declare in the mosque in Durban that Muslims are “more Jewish than the Jews and more Christian than the Christians!” All over the world, repeatedly, Muslims claim Islam to be superior to Christianity. “You Christians are so divided. We Muslims are all united. You have so many denominations, but we Muslims are all one. In Islam there is perfect unity.” And “Christianity is a religion for the Whites only, Islam is the Black man’s religion.”; “There is no racism in Islam, we are all one in Islam.” “You Christians have so many Bibles, and you keep changing the Bible, but we Muslims have only one Quran, and it has never been changed.”

JUST THE FACTS

Slavery, Terrorism and Islam exposes the falsehood of these and other prevalent myths propagated about Islam. Far from Islam being a great religion of learning, tolerance and peace, this book presents the historical facts, and sets the record straight. A TRAIL OF DESTRUCTION

Over 3200 churches were destroyed or converted into mosques during the first century of Islamic Jihad alone. During the Muslim invasion of Syria in AD 634 thousands of Christians were massacred. As Mesopotamia was conquered between AD 635 and 643 many churches and monasteries were ransacked, and ministers and Christians slain. In the conquest of Egypt AD 640 and 641, the towns of Behnesa, Fayum, Nikiu and Aboit were all put to the sword. When the Muslims invaded Cyprus, they looted and pillaged homes and churches and massacred much of the population. In North Africa, when Tripoli was captured in AD 643, all the Jews and Christians were forced to hand their women and children over as slaves. When Carthage was captured, it was burned to the ground and most of its inhabitants slaughtered.

Beginning in AD 712 the Muslim armies invaded India. They smashed and demolished temples, plundered palaces, slaughtered millions of Indian men and enslaved the women and children. The ancient cities of Baranasai Mathura, Uggain, Maheshwar, Jwalamukhi and Dwarka were sacked, the populations massacred, and not one temple left standing.

“THE BLOODIEST STORY IN HISTORY”

Will Durant in his The Story of Civilisations, describes the Muslim invasion of India as “probably the bloodiest story in history.” The North Western region of India is called the Hindu Kush (“the slaughter of the Hindu”) as a reminder of the vast number of Hindu slaves who died while being marched across the Afghan Mountains to the Muslim slave markets in Central Asia. The Buddhists were also targeted for destruction. In AD 1193 Muhammad Khilji burned to the ground their famous library and the Buddhist stronghold of Bihar.

Shah Jahan is remembered as the builder of the Taj Mahal. What few Westerners know is that the builder of the Taj Mahal launched 48 military campaigns against non-Muslims in just 30 years. In AD 1628 he killed all his male relatives. Shah Jahan had 5,000 concubines in his harem but also indulged in incestuous sex with his daughters. In just one town, Banares, Jahan destroyed 76 Hindu temples. He also demolished Christian churches at Agra and Lahore. When he captured Hugh, a Portuguese enclave near Calcutta, he had 10,000 inhabitants “blown up with powder, drowned in water or burned by fire.” Another 4,000 were enslaved and offered Islam or death. Those who refused to convert were killed.

SPAIN UNDER THE MOORS

Neither was Spain under the Muslim Moors the jewel of Islamic tolerance that it is often purported to be. In AD 920 all the inhabitants of Muez were put to the sword. Cordova, Zarajoza and Merida were burned to the ground, with all adult males executed and all women and children enslaved. In AD 1066 all the Jews of Grenada were slaughtered. In AD 1126, all the Christians of Grenada were deported to Morocco.

In AD 1009, Kalif Hakem of Egypt ordered the destruction of the Holy Sepulchre and all Christian places of worship in Jerusalem. Christians were persecuted cruelly and pilgrims were attacked.

CARNAGE IN CONSTANTINOPLE

Under Mehmet II the Turks conquered the great Byzantine capital, Constantinople. On 29 May, AD 1453, waves of Turkish soldiers swept into Constantinople, the greatest city in the world at that time, and put it to the sword. Priceless libraries and irreplaceable works of art were burned, the population slaughtered, even in the Hagia Sophia, the greatest Christian church in the world at that time.

For centuries the Turks demanded an annual “blood levy” of Christian boys. Parents were forced to hand over one out of every five Christian boys for service in the Sultan’s army as janissaries.

“Great, Nancy, but how?” asked Harry.

“We’ll get some cheesy clothes and shoes, like most middle Americans wear, then stop at the pound and pick up a Labrador Retriever. Then, we’ll go to a nice old country bar in Montana and show them how much admiration and respect we have for the hard working people living there.”

So they did, and found just the place they were looking for in Bozeman, Montana.

With the dog in tow, they walked inside and stepped up to the bar. The Bartender took a step back and said, “Hey! Aren’t you Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi?” “Yes we are!” said Nancy, “And what a lovely town you have here. We were passing through and Harry suggested we stop and take in some local color.”

They ordered a round of bourbon for the whole bar, and started chatting up a storm with anyone who would listen.

A few minutes later, a grizzled old farmer came in, walked up to the Labrador, lifted up its tail, looked underneath, shrugged his shoulders and walked out. A few moments later, in came another old farmer. He walked up to the dog, lifted up its tail, looked underneath, scratched his head and left the bar. For the next hour, another dozen farmers came in, lifted the dog’s tail, and left shaking their heads.

Finally, Nancy asked, “Why did all those old farmers come in and look under the dog’s tail? Is it some sort of quaint Montana custom?”

“Lord no,” said the bartender. ” Someone’s running around town claiming there’s a Labrador Retriever here in my bar with two assholes !”
