Ron Kind (D-WI-3) Wants The Government To Track How Much Your Daughter Weighs
Remember when conservatives told you that if you let the federal government into everybody’s healthcare, pretty soon it will stick its peering eyes and groping hands into our personal business?
It’s like the old Arab proverb of letting the camel get his nose into the tent. Once that happens, it won’t be long before the whole camel is in there with you… and sleeping in your bed.
Welcome to “pretty soon,” thanks to Wisconsin Democrat Ron Kind.
Kind has introduced a bill that will commandeer your health insurer to report to the federal government the body mass index (BMI) – i.e., height and weight – of your children every year from age 2 to 18.
I’ve got a different idea, and this comes from Col. John Braddock, USMC (Retired) living in the 83rd District of the Republic of Texas: Why don’t we propose a new bill to the dumbasses in Washington and call it the KMFA (Kiss My Fat Ass) bill of 2010?
