Facebook Is Taking Your Likes And Comments And Turning Them Into Ads – Opportunity or Abuse?

The new Facebook privacy setting called “Instant Personalization” is being rolled out. TURN IT OFF!

Facebook will be sharing your personal information with external websites and applications.

It’s a marketers paradise but this might make you angry…

The new setting shares your data with non-Facebook sites and it’s automatically set to “Enabled” It’s on right now, and you need to follow the instructions below to turn it off.

If you want to stop Facebook from selling your personal information and keep it private, and keep it from being shared with the Universe, then:

  1. Go to Account >
  2. Privacy Settings >
  3. Apps & Websites >
  4. Instant Personalization >
  5. Edit settings and uncheck “Enable instant personalisation on partner websites”

Warning – If your friends don’t do this, they will be sharing info about you as well, so make sure you forward this on to everyone you know and care about. You can click on the “Like” button on this post and share it with your friends. Or, you can just snag the URL and share it on your wall.
